Aboyne-Dinnet Parish Church on Deeside will reopen this weekend following a major refurbishment of its 150-year-old interior.
The £165,000 upgrade had been in the pipeline for years but plans were pushed forward following the discovery of a woodworm infestation in the floor and pews.
Minister the Rev Douglas Campbell said the changes would help bring the church up to modern standards and enable it to host events such as concerts.
He said: “The architect and builders have completed a wonderful transformation of the interior of this building, giving it a light, spacious ambience fit for the congregation of the 21st century.”
