A knife-wielding thug fuelled by Buckfast and Valium who left two takeaway workers seriously injured has been jailed for five years at the High Court in Glasgow.
John Bonner led a masked gang that burst into the Bombay Tandoori restaurant in Hamilton, Lanarkshire, in October 2006, demanding cash.
Brave owner Irshad Hussain and his colleague Anzar Patel were knifed repeatedly as they tried to fend Bonner off. Both men collapsed bleeding after the mob raced off.
