Two brick-throwing teenage yobs wrecked a minister’s new car as she comforted a grieving family at a funeral.
The neds caused £5000 of damage and left the Reverend Agnes Moore in tears.
She said: “I’m heartbroken. I’d only had the car for a week.
“My mum is in a wheelchair and I use the car to get her out and about. She’s housebound now until I get it fixed.”
Ms Moore, 56, the minister at Bellshill West Church in Lanarkshire, left her £18,000 Vauxhall Vectra estate at the church while she took a service at a nearby crematorium.
A church officer witnessed the attack and was verbally abused by the youths.
He called police but Ms Moore said officers were slow to respond. She claimed: “They just didn’t seem interested.”
