Inverkip minister the Rev Liz Crumlish is moving to Castlehill Parish in Ayr and will be inducted there on 5 August.
Liz said: “Like many traditional, middle class parishes throughout Scotland, Inverkip Church has, over the years, become very comfortable. Even though the community around the church has changed dramatically, the church remains the same, an oasis for some, and an irrelevance for many.
“I feel it is now time to move on, to work with folk who want to engage with the gospel and who are committed to making a difference in their community and in the world. It is time to use my gifts of creativity and innovation in a new setting where they will be allowed more scope.”
