A Kirk troubleshooter is to be sent in to sort out divisions in one of Edinburgh’s most prominent churches.
St Andrew’s and St George’s Church, in George Street, had already begun the process of looking for a new minister following the decision of the Rev Roderick Campbell to retire.

One insider said the divisions began to emerge soon after Mr Campbell became minister five years ago.
A report to a meeting of the presbytery tonight refers to “problems, tensions and divisions evident in the congregation”.
