The missing nurse found trapped in the boot of her own car has revealed how she was kept alive – by her faith in God.
Courageous Magdeline Makola was recovering at home last night after emergency hospital treatment for hypothermia and dehydration.
Yesterday, her brother Refilwe Makola, 35, insisted it was prayers that kept her from death.
He said: “Magdeline is very strong mentally and has a great religious faith. She was praying while inside the car boot and this is what kept her going.
“Eventually these calls were answered and her life was saved.”
South African-born Magdeline is deeply religious and a regular at the Livingston Baptist Church, near her West Lothian home.
