Luke who’s top class

A school in Barrhead has been crowned the best secondary in Scotland.

St Luke’s High gained a record four excellent awards out of a possible five in the country’s finest ever HMIe report.

Inspectors highlighted the school’s overall exam performance, community work, strong teaching staff and high level of pupil engagement.

They also rated the Catholic school’s curriculum and standard of leadership as “outstanding”.
