Livingston nurse recovers after being found in car boot

A woman is still recovering in hospital after being found locked in the boot of her car on Boxing Day.

Magdeline Makola (38) from Livingston, was discovered in Airdrie after being reported missing more than a week earlier.

Members of the Livingston community have now rallied round to help Ms Makola’s family.

Police say her friends at a local church have been especially helpful to her and her family.

Chief Inspector Tague, said: “Magdeline is a very dedicated nurse and a committed Christian and is a member of the Livingston Baptist Church.

“Her family still live in South Africa and church members have offered them assistance and pastoral care if they chose to come over to be with her at this time.”
