Leaders of nine church denominations met volunteers from Starter Packs Angus in Wardmill Works, Wardmill Road, Arbroath, on Tuesday to learn about their work.
Scottish Churches Housing Action organised its third Church leaders’ Homelessness Day to recognise the work done by small voluntary organisations to help homeless people.
Chief executive Alastair Cameron, added: “The churches in Scotland make a massive contribution to tackling homelessness.
“Volunteers put in hundreds of hours each week preparing starter packs for new tenants to help them resettle; befriending people who have lost social contacts; and providing meals and day care.
“This day is an opportunity for church leaders to see some of this work across the country and show how it is valued.”
