Clergy from the troubled African nation of Zimbabwe are taking part in Greenock church services today.
Ministers and members from the Presbyterian Church there are visiting their sister churches here in Scotland.
Congregations in the Old West Kirk and Ardgowan Parish church will hear first hand how terrible life is for people under the regime of Robert Mugabe but they will also hear of the great hope and faith of Christians there.
The Presbytery of Greenock and Paisley has a formal covenant with the Presbyterian Church in Zimbabwe and groups from the two churches have visited each other over the past few years.
The visit is being co-ordinated by the Rev Owain Jones, convener of the Presbytery’s World Mission Committee, who led a party from here to visit Zimbabwe last year.
