Boxer felled young footballer for being a Rangers supporter

A boxer attacked a young footballer when he revealed he supported Rangers. Edinburgh Sheriff Court heard Grant Watson, 16, who has never been in trouble before, suddenly attacked Jamie Hardie after he claimed he played for a junior Hibs team but was a fan of the Glasgow club.

Watson, a finalist in the 2005 Scottish Youth Boxing Championships, put down his Buckfast and chips and punched the 16-year-old in the face, knocking him to the ground.
