The Queen was in Edinburgh to attend church during her stay in Scotland.

The Monarch wore a pink checked jacket and matching hat with a pink skirt for the service at Canongate Church on the Royal Mile.

After the service the Queen was seeing speaking with members of the congregation and was also given flowers by members of the public who had stopped to see the royal.

It is understood that a female member of the congregation took ill during the morning service and an ambulance had to be called to the place of worship.

The Queen is believed to have expressed concern for the woman who was taken away in the ambulance, and was overheard saying, "I do hope she is all right," to another church member.

On Saturday the Queen spent Armed Forces Day in Scotland’s capital, meeting members of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards at Redford Barracks, ahead of a parade in the city centre.
