Reverend Ruth ordained by Church of Scotland

THE Reverend Ruth Harvey was ordained by the Church of Scotland’s Presbytery of Annandale and Eskdale in Lochmaben Parish Church.

Ruth is one of two congregational facilitators in the Presbytery and she will continue in this role along with her colleague, the Reverend Pauline Steenbergen, with whom she studied theology in Edinburgh 15 years ago and who paid tribute to her at the social gathering which followed the service.

It was an extra special day for Ruth as her father, the Reverend John Harvey, preached at the ordination service and earlier in the day in Edinburgh, all the family had celebrated the 40th anniversary of the ordination of her uncle, Colin.
