Dr Malcolm Maclean accepts call to Greyfriars

At the meeting of the Western Isles Presbytery today a call from the Greyfriars Free Church congregation in Inverness to Dr Malcolm Maclean was accepted.

Dr Maclean, originally from Inverness, has been the minister of Scalpay Free Church since he went there in 2004 as his first charge. He is married to Katie.

The Greyfriars congregation has been vacant since 2008 when the previous minister, Dr John Ross, went to Dumisani Theological Institute as lecturer in Church History.

The Greyfriars congregation has also recently come to a successful and amicable arrangement with the Free Church Continuing in which the original manse was sold and the proceeds divided.
