A former Edinburgh minister has urged the Assembly to meet outside the Capital.
The Very Rev Dr Andrew McLellan, a former Kirk Moderator and now Chief Inspector of Prisons, said: “I know there are enormous practical advantages in meeting in Edinburgh.
“But there might be symbolic, pastoral and evangelical possibilities awakened if the General Assembly were occasionally to meet, for example, in Glasgow or Aberdeen.”
